Vitamin D test
Vitamin D deficiency can be a serious problem and does not have very obvious symptoms. It increases susceptibility to other more serious conditions.
Maintaining Vitamin D levels protects the body from a wide range of diseases including viruses, cardiovascular disease and bone disease including osteoporosis. Depression and breast, prostate and colon cancer have also been linked to an increased risk of Vitamin D deficiency.
The long Irish winter and the lack of sunlight is perhaps the biggest cause of Vitamin D deficiency amongst people living in Ireland. That’s why we should be more concerned than most countries.
